Border Sounding
After more than four years of playing the US/Mexico Border Wall and ephemera with a cello bow and implements of mass percussion, I decided it was time to perform a work featuring neither an original improvisation nor a composition I'd written, but rather a work by one of the masters: John Cage.
While The Anta Project has certainly shown the borderlands can be played by anyone regardless of their race, nationality or schooling, I decided to perform this internationally recognized master work to perhaps lay to rest any doubts or skepticism expressed by those who believe the true test of an instrument is it's ability to perform a classic composition.
Stay tuned...
